Water Temp and Swimsuit Rules

The water temperature at Swim to the Moon is typically between 75-78 degrees.  Some of the 5 lakes may be a little warmer, some may be a little cooler.  

ALL SWIMMERS ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR PERSONAL SWIM BUOYS WITHOUT PENALTY BUT THEY MUST BE A COLOR OTHER THAN ORANGE TO AVOID CONFUSION WITH THE MARKER BUOYS.  

Swimsuit Rules 

All swimmers must wear one swimsuit in one or two pieces.  All swimsuits shall be made from textile material and not contain clasps or zippers.  For both men and women, the swimsuit shall not cover the neck and shall not extend past the shoulder nor below the ankles.  

Swimmers are not permitted to wear or use webbed gloves, fins, buoyant armbands, or audio players.  Snorkels are allowed.  

Any device used to maintain body heat are not permitted unless you are entered in the wetsuit division.  Don't own a wetsuit but want to rent one?  Click here for wetsuit rental.
